About Me

Hello and welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my work as an internal medicine physician who takes care of our members in the hospital.

Biography

I’m a native of Southern California, and I knew early on that I wanted a career in medicine. I value the member-doctor relationship, and feel privileged to make a positive impact on our members and their families while guiding them through complex medical issues. A mentor during my residency at UCLA once told me, "Cure when possible, and heal always." After residency, I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 because I was impressed by the culture of healing and preventive care. After more than five years here, I know I made the right decision.

About my practice

I work almost exclusively with our members who are hospitalized. I'm part of an integrated team of internists who are available in the hospital 24 hours per day, caring for our members. This ready access to a physician, no matter what time of day or night, provides our members with quality, compassionate care. I’m a strong believer in collaboration. I enjoy working closely with our members and their families, surgical and specialty colleagues, hospital staff, and primary care colleagues in the office. I also teach our family medicine residents to provide member-centered, personalized care.

How I thrive

Maintaining balance in life is very important to me. When my daughter was born, we began exercising as a family. Whether walking, swimming, playing sports (especially soccer and softball), or hiking the beautiful hills and trails of Orange County, we enjoy spending quality time together, and value the need to maintain a healthy mind and body.
