About Me

I was born in the Philippines and raised in California. I have a loving and supportive family, which include my parents and sister. I decided to come to Hawaii because of the warm tropical climate and friendly atmosphere.

About my practice

A career in internal medicine is perfect for me because I have always loved the sciences and have maintained an interest in adult disease processes. Being a physician, I find that there is no greater gift to share than the gift of health and life. My philosophy of care is to treat my patients as a whole with compassion and dignity. As a physician practicing in Hawaii, I am especially grateful for a culture that allows me to become a part of my patients’ ohana or family. I treasure the wonderful conversations I have with my patients and hearing all of the great stories they share with me. Being able to establish long-term relationships with them is a privilege. I appreciate the integrated and highly coordinated care within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. My fellow physicians and I work closely with our medical staff to provide the best evidence-based medical care possible. In addition to treating patients, I am also the chief of our Nanaikeola clinic and am active in the Hawaii region Clinician-Patient Communication Programs which are educational classes for physicians. I am also on the Hawaii region Formulary Subcommittee which helps to establish safe and effective guidelines for prescribing medications.

How I thrive

I stay fit by going to the gym. I also love spending time with family and friends and traveling whenever I can.
