Welcome to my Web page. It is a great pleasure to work as a neonatologist at the Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center. I have excellent colleagues and a staff that make each day at work a wonderful experience. I’m glad to have this opportunity to share my credentials and personal information with you.
I moved to California after getting married. I completed my residency training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County and my fellowship at USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I chose to become a neonatologist because I wanted to make sure that parents’ dreams of holding their baby in their arms could be fulfilled. Sometimes taking care of sick and very small newborns is a challenge, but the hope in the eyes of the parents make me rise up to the challenge and give it my best.
I work with a team of neonatologists who are great clinicians and also great people. I love coming to work each day because the team of doctors and nurses and other staff work very hard to give high-quality care to the babies. I get a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment when graduation music is played in the neonatal intensive care unit as one of our small babies gets discharged.
I believe a healthy body houses a healthy heart and a healthy mind. Despite the stress and pressure of work, I try my best to eat well and exercise. I take the stairs at work as much as possible and work on my rowing machine at home. Running around in the backyard with my kids and the dog is another great way to relax after work.
