About Me

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself and my practice. I enjoy practicing at Kaiser Permanente because of my great colleagues and the members I meet through my practice. I look forward to working with you to treat your orthopedic needs.

Biography

I am originally from Florida and attended the University of California, Berkeley for my undergraduate degree in economics. I worked in health care consulting for several years in San Francisco before attending medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago. I also earned my MBA from the Kellogg School of Management during that time. I did my residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County Medical Center. I then completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Congress Orthopedic Associates in Pasadena.

About my practice

My practice is focused on orthopedic sports medicine, including arthroscopic reconstructive surgeries of the shoulder, hip, and knee. In addition, I perform shoulder arthroplasty (replacement) and treat both operative and nonoperative fractures. While I am a surgeon, I always consider the full gamut of nonoperative treatments before considering surgical intervention, since many orthopedic conditions can be treated successfully without surgery.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with wife and 2 young daughters. We enjoy exploring Southern California, going to the beach and parks, and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy surfing, biking, and going for walks with the family to stay fit and active.
