About Me

Welcome to my Web page. You may have seen me in the hospital. I am pleased to have this opportunity to share with you a little about myself.

Biography

I grew up in New York City and attended medical school in Buffalo before moving to Los Angeles (big change!). I trained in internal medicine at L.A. County-USC Medical Center, after which I decided to focus on hospital medicine.

About my practice

I am often asked where my office is. The hospital is my office. As a hospitalist, I see patients after they have been evaluated in the Emergency Department. During a member’s stay in the hospital, I manage their acute illnesses, along with a team of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists. I believe this is a great opportunity for education, and I hope my patients leave the hospital with a better understanding of their medical problems and ways to remain healthy.

How I thrive

I look for healthy and simple recipes for my family—Giada De Laurentiis has some of my favorites. I vary my exercise routine to stay motivated, doing Boot Camp, Pilates, and rollerblading on the beach. During my time off, I enjoy having lunch with girlfriends and relaxing with my husband and son.
