I grew up in Colorado Springs and always planned to return to the state of Colorado to practice medicine. I completed medical school at Washington University in St. Louis and residency and fellowship training at Brown University. I have happily settled in Highlands Ranch with my husband and young daughter. Kaiser Permanente has been a great place to work and I love being part of an integrated team providing quality psychiatric care to our members.
I have always been fascinated by the workings of the human mind, and so psychiatry was a natural fit for me. I chose to further specialize in geriatric psychiatry, which focuses on individuals over age 60, as I have a special interest in this population and their particular complexities. However, I am happy and comfortable treating all individuals 18 and older. I work closely with the nurses, therapists and other staff on our team to provide comprehensive mental health care for our members. I am committed to providing thoughtful care to members that is both evidence-based and individualized. I value my relationships with those that I treat and prioritize being available and responsive to their needs.
I most enjoy spending time with my family, including my husband, daughter and parents who live nearby. I enjoy reading, especially science fiction and fantasy. I try to get out and see something new in Colorado every weekend and I also have a special interest in travel. I have two active dogs that love to play.
