About Me

I love traveling and my childhood allowed me this exposure. I have lived in five different countries, but I have traveled to more than 30. I met my husband in Atlanta, and once we had a child we decided to move back to the city. I have always had a passion to work in medicine since I was a little girl, but I did not know that I wanted to be a surgeon until I rotated with an orthopedic surgeon. I thought cardiology was in my future, but I quickly changed my decision to enter the surgical field. The preciseness and the team approach necessary to take care of patients made me chose vascular surgery as my specialty.

About my practice

I enjoy taking care of the entire spectrum of vascular disease. I perform endovascular and open surgeries. My favorite surgery is a carotid endarterectomy, which allows me to clean out the artery to decrease stroke risk. I also do aortic aneurysm repairs, bypasses and dialysis access cases. I take care of peripheral venous insufficiency by performing ablation procedures in our procedure suites.

How I thrive

I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures. I love to run and take part in local races. One day, I hope to take part in a triathlon. Besides traveling, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband. My daughter keeps me on my toes with her interests. Luckily her interests are like mine when I was her age, so it is like reliving my childhood. My husband and I also take part in philanthropic endeavors that help young individuals thrive.
