About Me
I have spent a lot of time on the East Coast of the U.S. Mainland and completed my medical schooling in Connecticut. I now live on the east side of the Big Island, practicing more than 5,000 miles from where I did my obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn) residency. I enjoy every bit of Hilo, including its rich history and wonderful community.
About my practice
I enjoyed the sciences in school and knew I wanted a career where I could help people. Medicine seemed like a good choice because I could challenge myself technically while helping my community, which is important to me. Ob/Gyn medicine is particularly fulfilling because I can personally play a part in helping women start or add to their growing families. And it is a pleasure to be able to guide and know so many wonderful people and families here in Hilo. As a member of the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, I appreciate working collaboratively with so many excellent medical professionals. Though I practice in Hilo, I know that any of my colleagues in Hawaii are available to confer with me at a moments notice and I feel honored to have so many collegial and qualified peers. I believe that the best interactions with my patients are face to face. However, to make accessibility easy for my patients, I encourage them to call or email me, if needed, to discuss simple questions or normal laboratory or imaging results.
How I thrive
When I am not working, I strive to stay fit physically and mentally with a balance of exercise and activities with family and friends.
