About Me

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. I spent a substantial amount of time in San Diego for my undergraduate studies and medical school, but made time to surf and play rugby. I ventured to New England for my orthopedic training. This culminated with a short stint in the Midwest for my fellowship, where I cared for athletes within one of the most storied collegiate sports programs. I returned to Boston to teach and operate at my training institution for several years. There, I was fortunate to witness many notable sporting events and care for victims of a historic tragedy. These experiences helped shape who I am as a physician at Kaiser Permanente. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2018.

About my practice

I am a sports medicine surgeon dedicated to treating my patients as individuals with a focus on arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. I have a keen interest in shoulder arthroplasty and other complex open procedures of the knee and shoulder. Additionally, I enjoy tending to patients with fractures throughout the body. The patients I serve include weekend warriors all the way up to high-caliber athletes of all ages. I try to bond with my patients to gain a better understanding of what drives and ails you. I strive to improve your quality of life by decreasing pain and restoring function. My goal is to get you back to the activities you love.

How I thrive

I thrive by spending time with my fiancée and our Labrador Ruggles. I love being outdoors and delight in the things that Colorado has to offer such as hiking, fishing, biking and snowboarding. When cooped up inside I occupy myself with carpentry, mechanics and crossword puzzles. I also enjoy sampling craft beers and traveling with friends and family.
