Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to allow me to introduce myself. I love being a Kaiser Permanente physician and I am very proud of the work we do here at the Los Angeles Medical Center.
I am a California native, born and raised in North San Diego County. I first came to Los Angeles in 1995 as an undergraduate at UCLA, and loved the city and its people so much that I returned here to be a resident physician at UCLA in 2005. I am now raising my two children here with my husband and am enjoying all that this city has to offer.
I am part of an amazing team of physicians, nurse anesthetists, and nurse practitioners who work together to provide anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical procedures throughout the medical center. As an anesthesiologist, I have a unique opportunity to guide my patients through an often scary and emotionally challenging time in their lives. My goal with each patient and their loved ones is to help them feel as comfortable as possible with the surgical process. Once in the operating room it is my job to keep them safe and optimize their condition so that they have the best surgical outcome possible.
Having an active lifestyle is very important to me and my family. I attend Barre classes at least four times a week, and my husband participates in marathons all over the country. Our children are still too little to participate in organized activities, but spend hours outside every day playing.
