About Me

Welcome to my Web page! I look forward to working with you in the future toward the ultimate goal of keeping you as healthy and happy as possible. I strongly believe that preventive medicine is the way to stay healthy. As your family medicine doctor, it is important that you feel comfortable with me so that we work well together.

Biography

I was born in Guangdong, China and came to the United States when I was very young. I am lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to have a bicoastal education. After finishing high school in Florida, I finished my undergraduate degree in neuroscience with a minor in biological sciences at Smith College. I completed my medical education in New York City at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine before making my journey to the west coast to the UCLA-affiliated Family Medicine Residency at Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center. With both my parents as practicing traditional Chinese medicine physicians, I have a strong interest in the integration of nutrition and alternative medicine and am always intrigued on finding new ways to somehow weave that into my practice.

About my practice

As your physician, I believe that you and I are in a partnership to bring you the best possible health care. My job is to assess your needs, educate you about your health, provide you with the tools and services to keep you healthy, but also help heal you when you are sick. I hope that if I do my job well, you will be motivated to take a proactive part in your own life by doing everything you can to keep yourself in good health. I am excited to become involved in achieving your healthcare goals and I will root for you and guide you along to reach them.

How I thrive

I love to exercise by jogging outside or finding a new trail for hiking. I enjoy exploring Los Angeles, by enjoying new cuisines, exploring farmer's markets, concerts and other local events. I also enjoy traveling to other places whether it is near or far to learn about different cultures through their cuisines, architectures, and local crafts!
