About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1999.

Biography

I am from the Dominican Republic and Spanish is my first language. I grew up in Queens, New York, and moved to Los Angeles to train in pulmonary and critical care. I believe my diverse background and life experiences have helped me in my efforts to be a caring, conscientious physician.

About my practice

I am a pulmonary and critical care specialist with extensive hospital responsibilities. I also maintain an ambulatory practice, where I mainly treat members who have chronic pulmonary diseases. I believe that empowering patients with knowledge about their health is very important in establishing partnership and trust. The more they understand, the more confident they’ll be and will participate in their own care.

How I thrive

I believe strongly in balancing my work and home life. Maintaining that balance is, at times, difficult but very rewarding.
