About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to introduce myself, and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, and look forward to partnering with you in caring for your health.

Biography

I was born, and attended medical school in Taiwan. I first came to the United States for graduate studies in biomedical science in Houston, Texas, and subsequently moved to California for medical training.

About my practice

I am one of the regional hematopathologists working closely with hematologists and oncologists all over Southern California. Although we do not see patients directly, we care for patients who have hematologic diseases, especially blood and lymphoid cancers. We examine biopsy specimens using traditional morphologic evaluation with newer techniques including immunohistochemistry, fluororescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and flow cytometry, as well as integrating results from genetic testing to provide diagnoses and help clinicians select the best treatments for patients.

How I thrive

Keeping balance between my family life and work is very important to me. Outside of my profession, I am interested in music and reading. I enjoy, traveling, playing tennis, swimming, and playing sports with my family.
