Hello, and welcome to my Web page. For those of you who don’t know me, I like to work toward an end goal. My goal is for your child to be in tip-top shape and prepared with the tools needed to face the world. My goal as a pediatrician is to make sure your child is protected from the various real-world hazards and to have the knowledge needed to thrive in life at the time he or she is ready to graduate to adult care.
I was born and raised in Honolulu. For those local people out there who like to know, I went to Moanalua High School. I went to University of Washington in Seattle for my undergraduate degree and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, for medical school. I graduated residency from Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and now I have the privilege to work at Kaiser Permanente. I have lived in many places in my life. I am easily adaptable and can go with the flow. I am a person who is be able to apply medicine and adapt it to your cultural needs, should there be a time where the two meet.
I love what I do. I feel privileged to be a physician and take care of your child’s health. I like to include not only the parents but also the children into the decision-making process, when applicable. I feel it allows children to feel empowered for their own well-being. I like to give ample time during visits to cover all your concerns and try to keep the lines of communication open with follow-up phone calls.
I have a passion for constant learning and self-improvement. Whether I am at home reading on the couch or in the car listening to audiobooks, I am always trying to learn something new. I like to apply that wealth of knowledge toward my practice and help inspire children to figure out ways to find what they would like to do in life. I am a foodie. I like to experience other cultures via their food. I like to explore new restaurants with my wife and daughter and experience the different atmosphere and flavors that the establishment has to offer. Of course, with all that eating, I like to work off those calories by hiking or running on a daily basis. I try to make exercise a priority in my busy schedule. I have completed 3 marathons in my lifetime and like to hike on the trails behind my apartment. Maybe one day I’ll see you and your child on the race course. Thank you for visiting my Web page.
