About Me

I am a Colorado native. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Colorado. My husband and I have 2 sons, both of whom majored in engineering. I chose to become a nurse midwife after working alongside British nurse midwives during a medical mission in Honduras.

About my practice

The midwifery philosophy is rooted in the word midwife, meaning “with woman.” I see my role as being a resource to help women and their families achieve their health goals. The patient is the center of the care team. I take time to get to know my patients, listening and seeking to understand my patients’ questions and concerns. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for each woman. A large part of my practice is supporting breastfeeding mothers and their infants as an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

How I thrive

In my life outside of work, I volunteer as a leader with Venture Scouts. We have taken several memorable backpacking trips in the West. I also volunteer in my church and stay fit by walking my dog, a golden retriever.
