About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente. I am an emergency medicine physician and have been practicing in San Diego since 1999.

Biography

I grew up in Chicago and moved to San Diego to be near family. Obviously, the climate here is one of the best reasons to live in San Diego. It gives me the opportunity to pursue the activities I enjoy most. Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, running, diving, and kayaking. Of all these, cycling has always been my passion and continues to be my favorite activity outside of work and family. I was also part of the R2R/Kaiser Permanente cycling team that won the 2004 Race Across America (RAAM).

About my practice

I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I'm here to help you when you are sick. It helps me to better care for you when you take an active role in your health. This active involvement includes a healthy diet, exercise, and being aware of your medications and knowing why they were prescribed for you.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. Outside of work, I spend as much time with my family as possible. I am actively involved in my children's school, but also provide CPR training for their staff and regularly provide other health-related programs. Between work and family, I try to find time to ride, run and spend time on the water whenever possible.
