About Me

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I always knew that I wanted to help others and be of service by giving back to the community in a meaningful way. Studying medicine seemed like a natural step for me to explore my intellectual capabilities and also find a way to really make a difference in people’s lives. I am thankful to be in Hawaii and practicing in a wonderful community that I cherish.

About my practice

I decided to focus on family medicine as my specialty because I enjoyed the broad spectrum of care it offered to me. I knew I would be challenged and also have a chance to care for and become acquainted with my patients and their families. I greatly appreciate the collaborative approach to care we have within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. We are clearly a team and I know that my colleagues are there to help me as needed to provide the very best care for my patients. I believe in caring for my patients as if they were family. It is critical to me to have regard for the individual and show my patients that I am invested in their care. I enjoy getting to know the entire family and have developed many important long-term relationships, which I treasure. It is my hope that my work will help to provide a basis for continued wellness in my patients.

How I thrive

I love being outside with friends and family in our lovely state. My family and I are never at a loss of things to do. Spending time with my family keeps me balanced in all that I do, at work, home or in my community volunteer work.
