About Me

Welcome! I'm Dr. Kurzbard-Roach. Please call me Doctor K!

Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California, and was inspired to practice medicine by my mother (a nurse) and my father (a Kaiser Permanente physician). After college at UC Berkeley and medical school at UCLA, I headed out east for 1 year (which included a cold, snowy winter) for my internship at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Following my intern year, I returned to UCLA for a radiology residency, then pursued fellowship training at UC San Francisco before joining Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

While my practice encompasses all aspects of diagnostic radiology, my subspecialty is women's imaging, which includes ultrasound as well as breast imaging and intervention. I love my practice and cherish every opportunity to see members and contribute to their health and wellness, especially through early cancer detection via breast cancer screening.

How I thrive

In my spare time, I exercise, usually by running or doing yoga. I love to travel and particularly enjoy any chance to explore a new city by walking, jogging, or biking. I also like to read, complete (or at least attempt) crossword puzzles, and spend time with friends and family.
