About Me

I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I was born in Germany and moved to Connecticut when I was 4 years old. I remained a New Englander through college, medical school, and my general surgery training. However, my desire to pursue a career in plastic surgery slowly brought me out west. After completing a plastic surgery residency in North Carolina at UNC Chapel Hill, I moved to Houston to study reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. My trip west culminated upon my accepting a position at Kaiser Permanente’s Woodland Hills Medical Center. While I still consider myself a New Englander, my husband and I have grown to love the diverse culture, wonderful climate, and exceptional outdoor activities that Southern California has to offer.

About my practice

While my practice covers the full spectrum of care for plastic surgery, I have special interests in microsurgical reconstruction and transgender surgery. I practice in an extremely supportive environment with a dedicated and exceptional staff who facilitate the complete care of our patients. Most importantly, every patient is unique and as such, patient safety, patient education, and successful outcomes are of paramount significance in every procedure I perform.

How I thrive

When not working, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful weather in California. Running, yoga, and hiking are some of my favorite ways to keep fit while having fun.
