Welcome to my Web page! I am honored to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. To find out more about me and my pediatrics practice, please read on.
I grew up in the southeastern California desert and migrated to the coast for college and graduate school. My undergraduate degree in biology was earned at UC San Diego, after which I was awarded graduate degrees in public health and medicine at UCLA.
I am a general pediatrician with interests in preventive medicine and health education. I consider myself to be a health partner with the families of my patients, working with them to prevent illness, yet staying ready to help when my patients are not well. My practice is devoted to all pediatric age groups, from the preterm infant to 17-year-olds. During my career, I have taken an active role in training medical students and residents interested in pediatrics. I provide this training both at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and at the UCLA School of Medicine, where I am a clinical professor.
I believe in the Kaiser Permanente philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit, and try to live it in my own life. I thrive by keeping my family life a major priority, exercising regularly, and maintaining a positive attitude. I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, cooking, and reading.
