About Me

Having grown up in Honolulu, Hawaii, I have always enjoyed outdoor activities, such as hiking, swimming, and body surfing. While in college, I worked as a city and county lifeguard, performing rescues, administering CPR and first aid, and educating the public. Because of the personal fulfillment I experienced, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I have experienced tremendous personal growth and fulfillment and could not be happier with my career in family medicine.

About my practice

My philosophy of medicine is to establish an open, honest, and trusting relationship with my patients. I enjoy spending time getting to know my patients and having them get to know me. I try to help my patients make informed decisions about their health care, try to encourage a healthy lifestyle, and try to reduce risk to increase their quality of life and longevity. For 10 years, I worked in a private, group practice setting in Phoenix, Arizona, seeing a variety of patients of all ages and backgrounds, with a variety of payor sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial-pay patients.

How I thrive

In addition to spending time with my wife and two children, I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing golf, and walking our family dog. This personal time allows me to clear my mind and exercise my body. We also enjoy other family activities such as hiking, skiing, attending concerts, and taking long scenic drives.
