About Me

Welcome and thank you for visiting my Web page. I am privileged to be a part of a group of five board-certified clinical and anatomic pathologists here at Kaiser Permanente Riverside.

I was born in Saigon, Vietnam. My family and I immigrated to the United States in 1976 and settled in South Carolina. After finishing medical school in Charleston, South Carolina, I moved to Southern California, where I completed my residency and fellowship training. I have really enjoyed living in Southern California for the last 11 years. I especially enjoy our region's unparalleled ethnic, cultural, and culinary diversity.

About my practice

Pathology plays a crucial role in many aspects of patient care. We function mainly as diagnosticians, working closely with your physicians, to correlate clinical information about each patient with tissue microscopy, laboratory testing, and molecular studies. We act as physician consultants by using our expertise in observing cellular changes in tissues at the microscopic level, along with interpreting laboratory data, in order to help our clinical physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of each patient.

How I thrive

I have an as equally busy and important "second career" as a mother of two very active children. It is always a challenge to juggle work and family. However, I try to take each day at a time, striving to do the best that I can in every moment.
