About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I’m Dr. Lauria, one of the doctors on staff in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Kaiser Permanente Lancaster Medical Offices. As part of a dedicated team, I feel privileged to provide care to women of all ages.

Biography

Born in Camden, New Jersey, I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and aside from my years away at school and establishing my practice, I have spent most of my life in Southern California. I received my undergraduate education at UC Berkeley and went to medical school at a place once known as “Cal’s Southern Campus”: UCLA. I headed to Texas to complete my residency at Texas Tech and for a few years was in private practice in San Antonio. Before long, California called me back, and in 1997 I joined Kaiser Permanente. I am pleased and honored to participate with such a talented team of health care professionals.

About my practice

As an Ob/Gyn, I take the time to listen to my members and identify their needs. I believe that compassion and understanding are the foundation of a successful doctor-patient relationship. Caring for expectant mothers and ensuring the smooth delivery of their children is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career. I enjoy treating younger members and helping them get oriented towards proper care of their bodies, yet I have strong empathy for older, post-menopausal women, as I share in many of their struggles.

How I thrive

I am a strong believer in regular exercise and well-balanced meals; these two factors are key to a long and satisfying life. My daily exercise comes from walking an enormous but loving German Shepherd, and good meals are inspired by my vast collection of cookbooks. At least once a year I pack my bags and head for a new destination, often with a group of friends. We’ve explored many cities in Europe, Mexico, and the United States. Learning about the history and heritage of these varied cultures is fascinating. I relish my trips both domestic and abroad.
