About Me

I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our fantastic members. I look forward to working with you.

Biography

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I went to medical school at the University of Cape Town. I then moved to the United States and completed my pediatrics and pediatric cardiology training at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. My wife and I moved back to South Africa for two years and then spent one year in Haifa, Israel, before moving to San Diego where I took a faculty position at UC San Diego. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2003.

About my practice

My practice involves taking care of children and young adults with heart-related conditions, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I'm on the faculty at UC San Diego and at Rady Children's Hospital, and work in close collaboration with staff at both of those institutions. A big part of my work involves echocardiography—especially fetal echocardiography.

How I thrive

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, as well as my friends. I try to keep active with ocean swimming, cycling, and hiking.
