Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I have worked as a Kaiser Permanente physician since 2008. Before that, I proudly served as a Navy physician for 30 years.
I'm a proud Philadelphian but have now lived in San Diego for 30 years and consider myself a native! I became a physician for the challenge that a lifetime of learning and medical practice would bring, and I continue to feel excited about what I do. Being a physician is a sacred trust, and I feel very privileged to be helping my patients.
I practice Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, primarily at Kaiser Permanente's Otay Mesa Outpatient Medical Center but also at San Diego Medical Center. I specialize in the prevention and treatment of digestive diseases.
Having a balance in life is very important. I can't emphasize enough how stress and anxiety can adversely affect our health and vitality. Patients are constantly bombarded with warnings and scare tactics to get their attention. Add to this the stress of financial and relationship issues, and it's no wonder we all suffer with fatigue and feeling bad. The best way to manage this is to keep a balance with exercise, social interaction, reflection, spirituality, and plain old fun. Make a commitment to for a healthy, balanced life, and you will feel better immediately. Talk with your physician about your health issues.
