About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente with my wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to partnering with you to care for your health.
Biography
I am from Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon). I have always wanted to be a doctor and follow in the footsteps of my aunt who was a well-known gynecologist in Colombo. After completing my residency in pediatrics, I worked for two years as a pediatrician before becoming interested in pediatric neurology. I completed my second residency in neurology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
About my practice
I see children with seizures, headaches, developmental delay, neuromuscular disorders, and degenerative and genetic neurological disorders. I work in a group of neurologists who are mostly sub-specialized in neurology. We work well as a group and are the tertiary referral center for the region. I believe strongly in preventive medicine.
How I thrive
I eat a healthy diet (most of the time), and make an effort to get regular exercise.
