About Me

I was born in India and grew up in New Jersey. I completed my undergraduate degree at Kean University as a medical technologist, then specialized in blood banking. Prior to attending medical school, I worked as a blood supervisor for a few years. I decided to become a physician because I wanted to be involved in direct patient care and I enjoy working with people. I attended medical school and went on to complete my residency at the University of Connecticut in internal medicine and primary care. I then moved to Atlanta to be closer to my parents and siblings.

About my practice

I am an internist in the Kaiser Permanente Ambulatory Medicine Department, and I like to practice evidence-based medicine. I enjoy managing and helping our members avoid future complications of chronic conditions such as diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, etc. I am a strong advocate of preventive care management and I focus on healthy living. I like to keep up with current medical knowledge through medical education conferences, as well as online medicine journals.

How I thrive

When I am not taking care of my patients, I like to spend time with my family. I am generally active and enjoy traveling, especially to different countries with cultural diversities and unique sights. My other hobbies include reading, hiking, exercising and shopping. I volunteer with my religious organization regularly, especially during health related events.
