I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you. I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born in the beautiful country of Tunisia, in Sfax, the second-largest city. After finishing my medical degree in Tunisia, I was selected by my country to begin residency in general surgery at the University of Montreal and then cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Alberta. I completed fellowship training in surgery in Florida and also at USC in California. I come from a large family. I knew that I wanted to be able to make a difference in people's lives, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity.
I want to take good care of you when you are sick and be your partner in achieving and maintaining good health. Practicing medicine is a very special opportunity to help people. I feel honored to treat patients as I would my own family.
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I enjoy summer vacation with my family in the Mediterranean region and in my native country of Tunisia. I also make it a priority to set aside time to do yoga and Pilates.
