About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy that you have stopped by to learn more about me and my practice. I feel fortunate to be working with a wonderful group here at Kaiser Permanente and am honored that so many wonderful members trust me with their care.

Biography

I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. I wanted to be a physician since early childhood. I attended UCLA for college (go, Bruins!) and then moved to Baltimore for medical school. I found myself missing both my family and the sunny California weather, and I was so happy that I was able to return for a surgical residency at UC San Diego. I enjoy living here with my husband and 3 children and our 2 dogs and 2 cats.

About my practice

While I do enjoy the technical aspects of surgery, even more important to me is the relationship that I am able to forge with the people I treat. I’m amazed every day by the trust that members place in me, and I am honored to be able to help them.

How I thrive

As a physician, I know how important it is to take good care of your body and mind. I try to be a good example to members by staying physically active and being as healthy as I can be. I also make sure to spend quality time with my family and friends to recharge my mind and spirit. On a rainy day, I like to curl up on the couch with my kids and a good book.
