About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page. I’d like to introduce myself to you and tell you a little bit about my practice. I'm happy to be at Kaiser Permanente because of the wonderful people I work with, including my members. I look forward to meeting you and working with you on your health care.

I was born in the Philippines, but I grew up in Hawaii. I chose to become a doctor because even as a young boy I enjoyed the sciences. I spent a lot of time on the East Coast, where I did most of my medical training. I ended up in San Diego to be closer to my family and to escape the cold winters. I've been married to my wife for over 20 years, and we have one daughter.

About my practice

My philosophy of care is based on honesty and treating my members the way I would want to be treated. I believe maintenance of health is a team effort and, as a member, you are a central part of the team.

How I thrive

As a doctor, my personal time is limited. I enjoy activities with my family and friends. We try to go on ski trips once a year. I enjoy playing golf, although I'm terrible at it. Regular exercise is very important to me and I try to pass that on to people I care about—especially my members.
