About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! It's an honor for me to be a Kaiser Permanente physician. My career passion is to deliver high-quality, affordable, patient-centered care. At Kaiser Permanente, I have the pleasure of working with like-minded individuals who want to see our community strengthened and uplifted.

Biography

I'm originally from San Gabriel, California. I attended BYU for my undergraduate degree, and then I came back to California for medical school at UC Irvine. After completing an internal medicine residency at Stanford, I was trained at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston in anesthesiology. My wife and I are thrilled to be back home in California and look forward to raising our family in San Diego.

About my practice

Anesthesiology is an evolving discipline. In addition to delivering care in the operating rooms, we also run perioperative clinics and provide services in the labor and delivery ward. We attend critically ill patients in the ICU, perform interventional procedures to manage chronic pain, and we're consultants in almost every part of the hospital. All of our specialty's skills and efforts are dedicated, in large measure, to protecting patients and providing comfort. For these reasons, anesthesiology is an interesting and rewarding branch of medicine.

How I thrive

I find great satisfaction at work by delivering compassionate, high-quality care. I appreciate working with my kind and talented colleagues, who make the Kaiser Permanente family a unique environment to practice. Outside of work I find fulfillment in spending time with my wife and son, reading, cycling, exploring new restaurants, and playing ice hockey.
