About Me

Hi! Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old. I completed high school, college, graduate school, medical school, and my residency all within Southern California. It's hard to leave its fabulous weather and the great diversity of cultures and food!

About my practice

I see myself as a partner in your healthcare. I'm here as a guide to help members find the best treatment options for them individually. I'm a firm believer that pain pills are not always the answer. However, I'm also a strong supporter of medicines to help treat chronic diseases — such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol — to prevent complications. I chose family medicine as a career because I believe we are all connected — physically, emotionally, and spiritually — to those we come in contact with. Sometimes our health is affected by more than just viruses and bacteria. It's this seemingly insubstantial, undetected source of stress on our bodies and minds that I hope members can find and eliminate from their lives to improve their health. The food we eat, the people we associate with, and the perspective we hold of ourselves and others can all affect us. I have also received additional training in LGBTQ+ health concerns.

How I thrive

I believe in order to live well, you must have a balance between a healthy mind and a healthy body. We need to work on nurturing both. I make sure to find time for myself, know my limits, recognize when I'm not at my best, and, most of all, remind myself to enjoy everything I do. There will never be another day like today! I believe everyone should have plenty of hobbies. We all need regular mental vacations from the ongoing stresses in life. I enjoy tennis, bowling, music, crafts, and reading. And I'll try almost anything new.
