About Me

I’m glad to have this opportunity to share some information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your doctor. I hope this page will help you get to know me, and that we’ll be able to work together to take care of your health.

Biography

I was born in California but spent most of my life in Texas and the Southeastern United States. Growing up, I always wanted to be a doctor. As I’ve made my way through my career, I’ve been very fortunate to learn from excellent teachers. After 14 years in practice as a general ob-gyn, I went to Indiana to train in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Since then, I have dedicated my career to helping women with pelvic floor problems. It is a privilege for me to care for women and help them understand their options.

About my practice

Urogynecology is a subspecialty devoted to the treatment of pelvic floor problems, such as incontinence (bladder and bowel control problems) and pelvic organ prolapse (falling of the pelvic organs). Although surgery is the right choice for many women, I like to consider and discuss all the options. I want to help you understand what is best for you based on your personal situation. For some women, nonsurgical options may help you achieve a good quality of life without the need for surgery.

How I thrive

I’m always trying to find a balance in my life for my mind, my body, and my spirit. My first priority is my family. Whenever I can, I try to spend time with my wife, doing the things we need to do to make a good home life. I try to exercise on a regular basis, and I’m fairly successful with that most of the time. I pray, meditate, and attend mass regularly.
