About Me

When in high school, I would work as a nurse's aide in the evenings. I was able to stay late one night to assist in a delivery. Between that and my patient care, I knew this was a field I wanted to be in. My progression from a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in nursing to a master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner has been a journey which I have enjoyed. I love being a nurse practitioner because I’m able to continue seeing and treating patients but at a more advanced level.

About my practice

I work in the urgent care and after hours setting. All of my clinical experience has been in emergency medicine and urgent care. It is challenging and immediately rewarding. I’m able to see and treat a variety of patients. I especially enjoy treating acute trauma patients including orthopedic problems and minor surgical procedures.

How I thrive

My philosophy is that I must be personally healthy in mind, body and spirit in order to provide the best possible care to my patients. My free time is spent doing sports activities I love including hiking, biking and swimming. I also love to read and do some crafts. I only wish there were more hours in my days!
