I was born and raised in south Louisiana. And yes, I love the food there! Crawfish and boudin are some of my favorites. After college, I moved back to Louisiana for medical school, and since then, I have lived in Atlanta. I have a daughter and a son born in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and I absolutely love raising them in Atlanta. Being a mother has changed my life in the most wonderful ways. Nothing brings more joy than seeing their smiling faces in the morning.I worked in a private practice oncology group for five years before starting with Kaiser Permanente in 2012. I feel very lucky to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family!
I treat all types of cancer and benign hematology cases. One of my practice goals is to see every patient as an individual with different emotional and physical needs. I want our members to feel that I am on their team, along with their family and friends, and we all must come together to create an appropriate treatment plan for the patient.
Seeing cancer patients on a daily basis reminds me how important it is to live happily each day. I love, love being a mother! I am happiest spending the majority of my free time with my two babies. I also make time for myself by doing cardiovascular exercise at least five mornings a week for an hour. Running is my favorite. Early morning exercise always gives me energy to make it through the day and have some left over to play with my children. Another hobby of mine is enjoying Atlanta's great restaurants, along with flying home to Louisiana to visit with family when possible.
