About Me

Hello, and thanks for visiting my Web page. Here you'll find a little information about my background and practice style. I am a general pediatrician who also specializes in infectious diseases. I have worked at the Woodland Hills Medical Center since 1990 and have been the chief of pediatrics here since 2005.

Biography

I'm a native Southern Californian. In fact, I was born at our medical facility on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and received my pediatric care at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center. I first developed an interest in medicine as a high school student while working in a sleep research lab at UCLA. I then attended UC Berkeley, where I received my undergraduate degree in physiology. During that time, I worked with deaf, disabled and chronically ill children. It was then that I realized I was interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

About my practice

I am lucky to work in a department with top-notch pediatricians who are committed to providing high-quality care. My patients range from infants to young adults. I have known many of my patients since they were born and I'm now taking care of some of their children. I really love watching my patients develop and grow, physically and emotionally. Many children are very apprehensive about visiting a doctor's office. In my clinic, I try to create a comfortable environment for my patients and their family. I believe medical advice should be flexible and practical.

How I thrive

Like many working parents, I face the constant challenge of balancing home and work life. I love spending time in the mountains with my family and dog. Locally, I enjoy taking advantage of the good art, music and food that L.A. has to offer.
