About Me

Hello and welcome. My name is Dr. Mark Mettler. I am pleased to introduce myself to you as one of the general surgeons practicing at Kaiser Permanente’s Riverside Medical Center. I have been here over 20 years.

I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and attended University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) for my undergraduate work. I then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for medical school at Oral Roberts University School of Medicine. My surgical training was completed at Loma Linda University Medical Center. My wife and I liked the area and weather so much, we decided to stay put in Southern California.

About my practice

As a general surgeon, my work with patients is mainly concerned with the neck, breast, and abdominal areas. I enjoy focusing on thyroid and parathyroid removal for benign and cancerous tumors. Another emphasis I have is in laparoscopic hernia repair.

How I thrive

Thriving is about making consistently good choices in regards to your body, mind, and spirit.
