About Me

Hi, and welcome to my Web page. I have been a community physician for seven years, and feel very fortunate to join the Kaiser Permanente family this year! It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you get to know me.

Biography

I was born in El Salvador, and immigrated to the United States with my family when I was a young child. I grew up in the Hollywood area. I became interested in becoming a physician as a volunteer at University of Southern California General Hospital. It was an eye-opening experience. I was determined to become a community physician, and help provide care for the most needy. I attended UCLA for college, medical school and my pediatric residency. I am a true Bruin!

About my practice

Being a pediatrician is a great joy. I am fortunate to welcome new babies, talk with little ones, and discuss life issues with teens and parents. I encourage partnership and open discussion. I love to teach and to learn during patient visits. I am also proud to be an advocate for higher education, women in science, and going after what makes you happy and healthy.

How I thrive

I met my husband at UCLA, and have three wonderful children. We lead a busy life on soccer fields, basketball courts, and baseball diamonds. As a family, we value spending time together and with our friends. We love to cook new and fun foods. We also love to go out on walks around the neighborhood with our two dogs.
