About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. It’s important that you feel comfortable with me as your podiatrist. I hope this page helps you start to get to know me.

After graduating from Ohio State University, I moved to San Francisco to attend podiatry school, and then had two additional years of surgical residency. In 1975, my wife and I moved to the San Diego area, where I started a practice in Pacific Beach and we raised our two children. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1997, and I’ve found it very rewarding!

About my practice

I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I’m also here to help you when you have problems with your feet. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you’re actively involved in taking care of your health. Whether it is helping you choose the appropriate shoes for your work or leisure activities, practicing preventive diabetic foot care, or helping relieve painful foot conditions—I’m here to assist you.

How I thrive

I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit, and try to practice it in my own life. I know how difficult it is to juggle everything in our busy lives, but I hope you remember to find time for your health and family. Although my work hours don’t allow a lot of spare time, I do try to balance a busy office schedule with walks—I try to walk for 30 minutes at least three times per week. I also eat low fat and low sugar foods, and make sure to get enough sleep each night. I love to read and watch college football, and my wife and I enjoy live theatre performances at least twice per month. We like to travel outside of San Diego to our favorite places in Arizona, California, and Hawaii.
