My family homesteaded in eastern Colorado and has lived in the state for five generations now including my children. I completed my undergraduate degree at Colorado State University and my medical degree at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. I chose family medicine because I enjoy seeing people of all ages and developing relationships with families. I believe in caring for the whole person and understanding each person’s history, beliefs, values, concerns and interests. I truly believe in partnering with patients in their health care. I genuinely enjoy my patients and what I do. My primary focus is in women’s health and pediatrics, but I see patients of all ages and stages of life.
I believe in listening to my patients and getting to know them for more than just their diagnosis. I want my patients to feel comfortable with their health and the plans we make, and to feel free to make suggestions or change the course of treatment. I want people to feel accepted for who they are and know their decisions are respected. I enjoy caring for people of all ages, with a focus on pediatrics and women’s health. I care for people from all walks of life.
I have a wonderful husband, two pretty fantastic sons, and two Golden Retrievers. We do a lot as a family including snowshoeing, hiking, backpacking and fishing. We love almost anything outdoors. I also enjoy baking and cooking, especially baking pies. I love having family and friends over and cooking big dinners. Gardening is also a passion of mine, though always an interesting adventure in the mountains. We like to travel as a family as well. Some of my favorite trips have been road trips—I enjoy exploring new locations and meeting new people. I am an avid reader and a book is never far from my hands.
