About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.

Biography

After my pediatrics residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, I completed a 3-year fellowship in adolescent medicine at UC San Francisco. I am married and have 2 energetic young children and a not-so-energetic, middle-aged Basset hound. I grew up in Ohio, California, Texas, and Florida.

About my practice

Because I am an adolescent medicine physician, my practice is limited to patients between 13 and 17 years old. I am board certified in both pediatrics and adolescent medicine. I am currently the Southern California Permanente Medical Group regional lead for adolescent medicine. I love working with teenagers, and I strive to make office visits as pleasant and educational as possible. My clinical interests are adolescent reproductive health, healthy lifestyle choices, acne management, sexually transmitted disease prevention, and treatment of eating disorders. On 1 or 2 nights per week, I enjoy seeing children and teens of all ages in our urgent care clinic.

How I thrive

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, bike riding, trying new restaurants, and watching movies and favorite TV shows. I am a huge fan of stage musicals and try to catch as many as I can. My family and I enjoy spending time traveling to small California towns (some of our favorites are Solvang, Temecula, and Sonoma) and Disneyland.
