About Me

I was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Fla. Growing up near the beach, I developed a love for the ocean and all things in it. My favorite smell is that of waves crashing on the ocean floor. When I was pregnant with my oldest child, I chose a certified nurse midwife (CNM) as my provider. Pregnancy was such an amazing journey and with the presence of my midwife, I soon realized that this was my calling. I relocated to Atlanta in 2005. I have two sons and a daughter, all delivered by midwives!

About my practice

I am very excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team as I believe in our integrated approach to health care delivery. I came into this profession after my own experience of using a nurse midwife through pregnancy, and she left a profound, everlasting impact on my life. When I approach my practice, I want women and families to leave their pregnancies with the same impression. I also want women to be empowered in their health, bodies and minds throughout their lives. I believe in a natural approach to pregnancy and childbirth with as little intervention as is safely possible. I support a couple's choices for the birth of their baby. I truly love my profession and feel like it is an honor for a woman to entrust her care in me, especially during the intimate time of childbirth. I love the gift of life and the sound of a baby's first breath! It never gets old, and I still cry when I hear it.

How I thrive

I thrive by being a mother. My three kids keep me on my toes between Boy Scouts, travel baseball, football, basketball, dance and cheer. I enjoy all things outdoors, and I am not afraid to get dirty! My most memorable times are spent with family. I enjoy SCUBA diving, traveling, photography, scrapbooking and hiking. I also love music of all genres, going to concerts, spending time with friends and Starbucks tea!
