I moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 1984. I attended Washington State University and the School of Social Work at Portland State University. I have wanted to be a therapist since elementary school and feel fortunate to have reached that goal.
Working in the Mental Health Department has given me experience with a variety of people and a number of diagnoses. I work as a group provider full time, which I find both challenging and rewarding. It is an honor to see interaction between group members facilitate individual growth.
I love spending time with family and friends, hiking, gardening and being outdoors. I always have at least one dog in my home. I like to travel and enjoy reading and learning new things. I volunteer on the board of directors of a local nonprofit community mental health agency and believe in quality mental health treatment for those in need.
