I was born and grew up in suburban Detroit. I was in private practice in the Lansing area for a year and a half. I moved to Colorado in 2001 to practice family medicine in Berthoud and then joined Kaiser Permanente in 2016. I am married to a Longmont native of multiple generations. I have two young school-aged children (a girl and a boy) and an adult step-daughter.
As a family physician, I provide complete care from infancy to geriatrics. I have a strong passion for evidence-based medicine which inherently leads me to practice medicine judiciously with high quality, low cost, and consideration to patient convenience. I believe in educating my patients, acknowledging their specific health care goals, and sharing decision making as to how best to proceed.
I enjoy spending time with my family in the Colorado outdoors skiing, hiking, camping, fishing and doing water sports. I also enjoy working with my hands so I often do wood-working, home maintenance, auto maintenance, landscaping, and find projects to do around the house. You will, however, sometimes find me on the couch watching Michigan State University sports.
