About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I look forward to working with you to improve your health and well-being.

Biography

I immigrated to the United States at the age of 8, and I have lived here for more almost 40 years. Through necessity, I have managed to keep my language skills intact, and I speak both Korean and English fluently. I was raised in New York and attended schools mostly on the East Coast. I relocated to California to complete my medical residency training and met my husband here. The rest, as they say, is history. In addition to my medical training, I also have a degree in pharmacy. I find this very helpful to my practice.

About my practice

I enjoy variety in life and in my practice, and this is the reason I chose to be a family medicine doctor. I love being able to see a wide range of members in one day—from children to seniors. The idealistic concept of a country doctor who knows each member of a family and understands the physical, emotional, and social dynamics of that family is what I am striving for in my practice. I know this is possible even in a big organization like Kaiser Permanente. With the help of my team, I have been successful providing high-quality care to entire families. I find my work challenging and rewarding, and I truly enjoy being a doctor.

How I thrive

I believe that a person's emotional well-being is very important to good health. My free time, therefore, is spent with family and friends to nurture that aspect of my life. I also play golf and tennis, and I travel when I can.
