About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell about my practice.

Biography

I was born in Brooklyn, New York, but moved to California at an early age and have spent my life in California. I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA and my medical training at UC San Francisco. I returned to Southern California in 1978 when I joined Kaiser Permanente—where I have spent my entire career. I chose the specialty of hematology-oncology because I have always wished to care for patients who have serious illnesses, where I feel I can offer the most help. My special interests are in blood disorders, especially disorders of bleeding or blood clots.

About my practice

My specialty is hematology oncology—the care of patients with cancer and blood disorders. I work closely with my colleagues, nurses, and social workers to provide a multidisciplinary approach to care. I feel honored that my patients have entrusted me with their care during what may be a difficult time in their lives.

How I thrive

I feel that a balanced life is important. Finding time to relax away from work is vital. I enjoy spending time with my family. I try to exercise every day, either at a gym, on my bike, or at home. I enjoy movies, plays, reading, and good wine.
