About Me

Hello, my name is Alejandro. Thank you for visiting my Web page. I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I also look forward to getting to know more of you.

Biography

I am originally from San Diego, a child of Mexican immigrants. In college at UC San Diego, I majored in microbiology and visual arts. I was drawn to the Los Angeles area because of LAC+USC Medical Center where I was an academic physician for seven years. I enjoy learning about diverse cultures and histories, in particular going to Uganda where I have volunteered at an orphanage. These days I am usually busy taking care of my patients, keeping up with current infectious disease events, and being a father and husband.

About my practice

I consider it a privilege to be a physician. I appreciate the uniqueness of everyone I see in my office and treat my patients with the attention I would expect for myself or my own family. I work with a multidisciplinary care team dealing with a variety of infectious diseases.

How I thrive

I believe in Kaiser's philosophy health in body, mind, and spirit, and I try to live it in my everyday life. I take public transportation, which keeps me physically active, and also gives me time to read a good buck or enjoy music. I also make it a priority to spend time with my children every day, keeping that inner child alive and laughing. When I do have free time, I continue to enjoy drawing and painting and watching sports, especially football.
