Welcome to my Web page. I am delighted to introduce myself and describe my practice. I'm pleased to be working at Kaiser Permanente among so many terrific colleagues and members, and I look forward to working with you, too.
I was born in Iran but grew up in Southern California. I attended UCLA as an undergraduate and traveled to New York for medical school. Upon finishing my internship, I decided to come back to Southern California for my residency. I had the honor of serving as chief resident in the field of internal medicine. After my residency, I went into private practice, but this involved many business aspects that did not allow me to truly practice my art. This is why I joined Kaiser Permanente. I have been a staff physician at Woodland Hills Medical Center for over 10 wonderful years.
I am part of the hospitalist staff at Woodland Hills, which is comprised of about 23 physicians. Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in caring for members while they are hospitalized. We have a rotating schedule, so my work is never 9 to 5. It is an intense job, as our patients' conditions require hospitalization and their families are concerned about them. Therefore, I serve as both physician and consultant to the family. I always keep in mind that the people I care for and their loved ones need a lot of support from me.
My personal philosophy is to enjoy my family and spend as much time as possible with my wife and children. I try to maintain a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.
