About Me

I am a native Oregonian, born and raised in Grants Pass. I left for undergraduate training in biochemistry at Stanford University. I returned to the Northwest for medical school, attending Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). There I met my wife and together we learned to take advantage of the incredible outdoors and friendly community. We later left to continue our medical training, and after six years of private practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we peremantly relocated back to Portland, Oregon and have been thrilled with our decision.

About my practice

Having to undergo surgery or a procedure requiring anesthesia can be stressful and disruptive for patients. My approach to treat each patient with respect and empathy and minimize the pain, anxiety, and stress of surgery. My goal is to provide utmost quality, utilizing evidence-based medicine, while treating patients like family. My skill is providing anesthesia for the complex cases and applying advanced regional anesthesia to improve patient care.

How I thrive

I firmly believe a balance of professional work, family life, and personal interests allows me to thrive and be a better physician. It is a pleasuse and privilage to work with colleagues and patients that recognize the importance of this balance. You can often find me spending time with my wife and two sons and taking advantage of the region's climate. I enjoy cooking, home reapir, and barazillian jiu jitsu.
