Born and raised in Colorado, I have thought it was a perfect place to have a family which includes two sons and two dogs. Becoming a physician was the best way I could apply science to make people’s lives better.
The specialty of internal medicine allows me to focus on caring for the “whole” adult patient. I strive to be a partner in helping my patients achieve their best health, with treatment plans that meet their needs and lifestyles. I use electronic medical records to see the big picture of a patient’s health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient’s questions. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate care. I also enjoy working to improve the care of our patients with diabetes and hypertension on the days that I am not in the medical office.
Routine exercise has been a big part of how I thrive when out of the office. I enjoy a variety of activities, from running, hiking and cycling to weightlifting and kick boxing. Gardening and reading are also activities that I enjoy.
